My chains fell of, my heart was freed, I'm alive to love for YOU...

What is our destiny? To love God. What were we created for? To love God. What gives God the most pleasure and delight? We do. Father is happiest when we want to be with Him, and pour our love out on Him. The highest thing we can do for God is to take delight in Him and enjoy Him. He is most glorified when we love and delight in Him for who He is.
We know we were created for relationship. Jesus said that on that day you would know that I am in the Father, you are in Me and I am in you. John 14. If we are recreated beings we are not only sons, priests, and kings, we are lovers; first and foremost we are lovers; and lovers hang out with the ones they love. God is so thrilled when we want to be with Him. He told me He was lonely if I didn't include Him in all I did. We know He lives in our spirit man, but He wants to be involved in every area of our lives, and in whatever we are doing. He desires us, and delights in us. More Lord, more.

Faith in the name of Jesus, sorts the ash cloud.

Seeing planes grounded in UK airports, as well as other parts of Europe, and all the disruption caused by the ash cloud at 09:17hrs Monday morning I exercised faith in the authority Jesus has given us to use His name. Speaking directly to the volcanic ash cloud I command it to disperse. Upon hearing later that there may be another ash cloud, I once again exercised authority, and commanded the volcano to stop erupting. At 22:00hrs yesterday the air space was clear.
You are entitled to view this anyway you will. But remember without faith it is impossible to please God, and Jesus has a name above every name, even that of a volcano. It is right on times to petition God, but nearly every other time authority in the name of Jesus needs to be invoked.

Shalom

We are going to explore shalom, by that I mean me and the Holy Spirit. All that I need and desire is earthed in shalom. Strong's Concordance 7965 - Hebrew Shalom ..... A word study in the New King James version for SHALOM says: Completeness, wholeness, health, peace, welfare, safety soundness, tranquility, prosperity, perfectness, fullness, rest, harmony, the absence of agitation or discord.
Isn't that it? All we ever desire is found in the heart of the Father. He is to be our shalom, our rest, peace, and delight. Nothing in this material world should shut us down to the pleasure found in His Kingdom.

Resting

I used to think it was all about chasing after God, but now I am more inclined to rest in His indwelling presence. The Holy Spirit is magnetic north to the compass of my heart, a supernatural satnav that continually guides me to the Fathers heart. Because He has convinced me that where He is I want to be. I'm getting to the place where I live in a kind of flotation tank. Suspended, and sustained by His love, nothing else really matters. Revival must be just living in the heart of the father. Have I arrived? Maybe I was there all the time.

Into me, You see

A constant prayer of mine is to know the heart of God. To know God is my desire, I don't want to know about Him, I want to know Him. To walk heart to heart with Abba is the bliss my whole being yearns for, and enjoys. Sitting with Him the other morning I felt in my heart these words.
'Take me with you'. I was a little perplexed but as I waited on the Lord it became clear what He was trying to communicate. He knew that I knew He would never leave me or forsake me as He lives in me. But He was talking about my acknowledging His presence and including Him in everything I was doing. I didn't think God could be lonely as He had Jesus and all those angels around Him, but He was adamant that He would lonely if I excluded Him, even without thinking about it. He would be grieved if He was neglected, and would He assured me, feel lonely. I was overwhelmed with sadness as I know only too well what it is like to be lonely. Through my tears I wanted to let Father know I wouldn't exclude Him, or neglect Him again, and I have been practising asking Him to be with me where ever I am, and in whatever I am doing.
Can God be lonely? I think He can.

Essential Reading

I am reading Heather Brooke's book the Silent State. This was the lady bashing away at the MP's expenses scandal before the news broke in the Daily Telegraph.  I don't want to give much away but it is essential reading if you have any degree of concern as to the condition of our society at present. This is resonating with the truth the Holy Spirit is speaking into me regarding freedom. The State or Government, seems to have switched from serving, and empowering, the people to even deeper levels of control. Often times parliament are either deceived or stupid as to what is going on. It's interesting the new Prisoner TV show is aired tomorrow on ITV. It's prophetic.

It's a Revelation

You don't have to be Jewish to be under the law. As a gentile growing up in the UK you will be under the law. It may not be a religious law, but it will be  a social law. If you look at society in general it's a law based, performance orientated way of living. From the cradle to the grave someone is out to control you. If it's not your parents, it will be your teachers. As you grow up you encounter governmental laws, which may seem reasonable, but are control based. But the good news is that Christ came to set you free.

It's Amazing

It's amazing to think that as I write this note this morning you are on God's mind. Yes right now God is so interested in you that He can't take His eyes of you. The most important thing on the heart of Almighty God is His relationship with you. Isn't that amazing?

Interesting

I was scanning some comments in the press today after the Archbishop of Canterbury's comments on the 'persecution' of Christians in our country. The debate was whether or not Britain was a Christian country, was religion relevant in today's culture etc. etc.  My mind switched to last Saturdays Dr. Who episode. As an aside it has had some criticism over the sexy new Dr's assistant, but I digress. In my opinion Dr. Who is a modern day Jesus. Well alright, let me explain. Deep in the dna of mankind is a primeval urge for righteousness, and the need for a 'hero'. We all need a hero. Secular society fulfils this with Superman, Spiderman, Indiana Jones, (isn't he great?) In my day it was Roy Rogers, Biggles, and the spy on the wireless whose name I forget. Society cannot repress God because His dna is planted in every person.

Back to Dr. Who. He is a Time Lord. He is able to move between galaxies, as well as time. Nothing stands in the way of his ability. He has chosen to 'protect' the earth, and clothes himself in a human body, though when scanned by aliens he doesn't register as human. He is eternal, you can't kill the Dr. Every episode is written so the Dr. prevails over evil. I like that. But the most interesting feature of the Dr. is he doesn't want to live without a human companion. Last week he to Amy said he would be back in five minutes, and it was 16yrs? But he came back. Then he went off to run in the new tardis and was away 2 yrs. but he came back for a companion. He had a word of knowledge that the girl he had met all those years ago would be his companion, and he was right. How so Jesus is that?

I'm so grateful we have the real Jesus but if Dr. Who stirs people to seek, that's a bonus.

Only One Place To Be

Throughout church history there has always been a band of abandoned souls. Mystics, contemplatives, monks, nuns, radicals, call them what you will, by the grace of God; they have always been with us. Unless someone wrote about them we would never have known of their existence. So be encouraged in this. If your heart is fixed on the presence of God, and your highest motivation is to cultivate the relationship Jesus has offered you, if you are invisible to the world, invisible to the church, misunderstood, alone, and vulnerable. Delight in that. Daddy has got you covered with His robe of intimacy, and you can bask in the Glory Jesus has given you. You don't need the affirmation of man, the praise of the world, or anything else. Just place your cheek on the fathers bosom and drink of the fountain of His love.

Betrothal

God reveals His heart to Israel through Hosea the prophet. In chapter two of the book God talks of marriage.

'And it shall be in that day, that you will call Me My Husband, and no longer call Me My Master. I will betroth you to Me forever, Yes I will betroth you to Me in righteousness and justice, in loving kindness and mercy; I will betroth you to me in faithfulness, and you shall know the Lord.'  

What wonderful words of promise. Israel must have had a really hard time under the Old Covenant figuring out the nature of God. But through Jesus those of us under the new covenant  have come to a better understanding of what is on the heart of the Father. This is the day that God is opening His heart to those sons and daughters of His who can discern the music being played in heaven. The furniture is being arranged in the throne rooms of  His palace. The celestial caterers are moving in with the trucks, the menus have been printed, and the musicians are warming up for the biggest and most luxurious feast ever to be held in all the galaxies.

The marriage supper of the Lamb is about to take place. This is the time on earth when the Bride is making herself ready. This time has never been before. Were you born for such a time as this?
